Marie Pedersen

Marie Pedersen is an Associate Professor in the Section of Epidemiology, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Marie has a degree in Biology, and a PhD in biomarker-based environmental epidemiology from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark (2010). Marie’s research focuses on the adverse health effects of common modifiable environmental exposures from air, diet and water. Currently she is involved in Danish as well as European birth cohort studies that examine the influence of exposure to environmental toxicants during pregnancy and early-life on maternal and child health. Marie is also involved in academic teaching and consulting on the translation of epidemiological findings into effective policies and actions for improvement of public health.
